Find a lawful business construct to become “shareholders” in businesses based on above baseline performance increase and Profit/income growth.
Create results based EQUALLY shared “reward”/payment structure
Try to help alleviate forming of walled gardens (departments). Organize resources around goals and desired project outcomes instead of internal functions
Don’t create titles, abolish perks, create equally shared benefits.
Decide if we are willing to do ad-hoc business consulting in return for short term higher immediate but non-recurring income or only “symbiotic” relationship based long-term “100 year” consulting.
Learn:
- How share holder / options / … work in a private company setting
- How company evaluation works
Perform a couple of consulting cases and document EVERYTHING!
Work out internally how our business gets paid and how to structure it financially
Decide Area of Operations
- Professionally (Niche such as: Social Entrepreneur, Alternative vs. Generic)
- Geographically (Local vs. Colorado vs. US vs. Global vs. Virtual)
Communicate everything in an easily digestible format to the public. One main reason for this is to remind yourself that most of the expertise in the world is ALWAYS located outside of your own organizational walls.
Start finding expertise “muscles” through subs. Create integration paths for subs to become part of the organization through proven performance.
